Mark’d Kids Day Camp

Information and Rules

Welcome to St. Mark's Church!  Please read the following information and rules thoroughly before completing enrollment form below.

We believe that all children are a gift from God to be cherished.

We believe that a solid Christian foundation is the only way to ensure responsible, caring adults.

We believe that the needs of all children go beyond physical and mental development to encompass emotional, social, moral, and spiritual development.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 am until 2:30 pm.  To allow our staff time to set up the room, children may not be dropped off until 9:30 am.  You are always welcome to pick up your child as early as you need to.

$ 160.00 for the summer – includes pizza on Tuesdays, field trips on Thursdays, supplies, and a t-shirt.  $80 for Tuesday-only or Thursday-only children.  Fees must be paid on the first day of Mark’d Kids Day Camp, June 5 (minimum $80 due), and on July 3 (remaining $80 due if not already paid).

Please use the back door (south side of building) into Barnett Hall for dropping off and picking up your children.

Our staff is truly concerned about your children.   Please text Alicia if your child is sick or is going to be absent.  Alicia’s cell: 405.388.9987

It is essential that your child wear appropriate clothes and shoes suitable for activities of the day.  Casual play clothes are best, and close-toed shoes are best.

Thursdays, all children are to dress appropriately for the place we are going on the field trip.  CAMP t-shirts are to be worn to all field trips.

Children who show signs of temperature over 99.8, colored mucus, constant cough, earache, red or runny eyes, rash, sore throat, vomiting or diarrhea WILL NOT be accepted.  Your child should be free of symptoms for 24 hours before returning to Mark’d Kids.

Please notify the Director if our classes have been exposed to a contagious illness of any kind.

We cannot give medication of any kind.  You are welcome to visit during the day to administer medication if necessary.

We will provide pizza on Tuesdays only.  If your child would prefer something other than pizza, please bring a sack lunch on Tuesdays.

On Thursdays all children should bring a sack lunch including a drink.  Please clearly label lunch boxes/bags with child’s name. When packing your child’s lunch keep in mind we do not have the ability to reheat food, but we do put lunches in coolers.

It is very important to sign your child in before you leave.  Mark’s Kids has a sign-in sheet for you to leave an emergency number.  We also have a place on the registration form for you to include persons authorized to pick up your child in an emergency.  The sign in sheet information will be used first.  When someone else will be picking up your child, be sure to give the teacher a description and name of that person.  Inform this person that they must show ID before they are allowed to leave with your child.  Also, when signing in please use names in the first person, not mom, Grandma, etc.

SUMMER SESSION:    June 5, 2018 – July 26, 2018

A calendar for the curriculum and scheduled events will be available on June 5, 2018.

Our theme this summer is “Kids Choice Camp”.  Activities will include activities, games, crafts, and snacks based around: karate, sandy candy, fear factor, mini golf, silly string wars, kittens and puppies, make your own pizza, glow in the dark night, split a coconut and drink the milk, make your own Mr. Potato head, toilet paper a leader, and eating Chinese food with chopsticks.

For Thursday’s scheduled field trips off site, you will need to authorize and sign the permission form at the beginning of the summer.  Our permission form covers permission to leave campus for field trips and a medical release.  Fees for field trips are included in tuition fee this year.  We will let you know if extra spending money is needed (like concessions at a movie theater, for example).  Places we’ve gone in the past include: zoo, OK Science Museum, Paint N Station, Jumpzone, Earlywine Pool, Orr Family Farm, West End Pointe movie theater, the Bone Museum, Elevation Trampoline park, and a Redhawks game.  A final schedule of field trips will be available June 5.

Please notify your teacher before bringing treats for a birthday.  Some of the other children may have medical conditions prohibiting them from certain foods.

We discipline with love.  Discipline will be constructive & educational in nature as well as appropriate to the child’s age & circumstances. We use “time out” periods only as necessary.  Parents will be notified of continuing problems with discipline.

After reading all the above information, please complete the enrollment form.  By signing the enrollment form, you agree to the above information and rules.  Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Thank you for participating in Mark’d Kids Day Camp.
